A standing note on reliability¶
Sopranos production history is in better shape than most, because the participants are still alive, still talking, and largely consistent — the Talking Sopranos podcast alone has generated hundreds of hours of first-hand recollection.
Two cautions all the same:
Twenty-five years of anecdote smooths. Convention panels and podcasts reward a good story, and several of the most-repeated ones have acquired detail over time. Where accounts conflict, this wiki says so.
Chase's statements about the ending are a moving target. He has said different things in 2007, 2015, 2019, 2021, and 2024. Any single quotation presented as final is misleading by omission. The Ending gives them all, dated, which is the only honest way to handle it.
